It was lovely to sit and talk to residents at Croft House Care Home in Great Dunmow about their thoughts and concerns today as they started their Burns Night celebrations. Many residents aren’t able to attend my surgeries, so it was nice to be able to visit them.
I also met with Andrew McGrath, Director of Public Sector for Bupa and Kim Eagleton, Regional Support Manager, and we were able to discuss the reasons why older people choose to move to care homes such as to feel safe or to combat loneliness.
As we are all starting to live longer, we are very lucky to have such fantastic care homes like Croft House, whose dedication to supporting elderly people is inspiring
