I enjoyed learning so much about Arecor’s business and their contribution to our local economy when I met their CEO Dr Sarah Howell and CFO Susan Lowther at their Chesterford Research Park base.
Their work in taking existing drugs like insulin and enhancing them to improve results for patients, is ground-breaking.
I was also glad to hear that Arecor finds Chesterford Research Park to be one of the best places to attract talent in research and development - vindication of the council’s decision to invest in the Park.
Arecor has a very constructive relationship with Government especially regarding research funding and I will continue to support them in this whenever possible.
