On Friday morning I met with farmers in the south of the constituency to discuss laws around pesticides, broadband, rural crime issues such as hare coursing and fly tipping, but also how they will benefit from Brexit.
Many farmers in our constituency support the Conservatives to get Brexit done. One of the reasons being that the Conservatives have pledged to free our farmers from the bureaucratic Common Agricultural Policy and move to a system based on ‘public money for public goods’, and in order to support this transition, the Conservatives will guarantee the current annual budget to farmers in every year of the next parliament.
