I was pleased to join the Saffron Walden 5th cubs recently via Zoom to discuss all things parliament and answer their very interesting questions regarding my role as an MP, climate change, a vaccine, the Big Ben and much more.
The cubs were really keen to find out more about their local Member of Parliament, and it is so important we teach children and young people about parliament and its role so they can build on this knowledge as they grow older and to ensure they can engage effectively.
I have spoken with many groups like the cubs before, particularly during Parliament Week, which is an annual festival that engage people with our Parliament and empowers them to get involved.
