Local MP Kemi Badenoch visited the pop up in Dunmow library recently alongside county and district councillor Susan Barker.
During the visit, they had the opportunity to meet with Uttlesford Citizens Advice’s (CAB) Chief Executive Kate Robson and the dedicated staff and volunteers who work to assist individuals with a range of issues from benefit, debt, housing, employment, legal and family.
Mrs Badenoch was keen to hear more about the work they are doing across the district and discuss the impact of cost-of-living pressures on residents.
Alongside their site in Saffron Walden, Uttlesford CAB partners with Great Dunmow Library and community venues in Takeley and Stansted allowing them to give advice at the touch of a button, via a secure video link service, providing better access to advice for residents in the south of the district.
Commenting, Mrs Badenoch said:
“It was useful to catch up with Kate Robson and some of the team in Dunmow to get an update on the organisation’s work across the district.
“Uttlesford CAB plays a vital role in our communities, offering support and guidance to those in need, particularly in light of cost of living pressures.”
