Last Friday I spoke with Clive Emmett, the Chief Executive of the CVS Uttlesford - for the Community and Voluntary Sector (CVSU).
CVSU, alongside Volunteer Uttlesford and Uttlesford District Council support voluntary and community organisations across Uttlesford and their hard work has been vital during these last few months.
Clive and I discussed the local response to COVID-19 and he shared some extraordinary examples of the support and dedication from volunteers across the constituency who gave their time to help those most in need.
I would like to thank each and every volunteer across Uttlesford and Chelmsford for your kindness and dedication in the last few months. Whether you help set up a neighbourhood group in Great Chesterford or you picked up medication from the pharmacy for those shielding in Writtle, without your help, we certainly would not be in the position we are now.
Our local communities have come together and supported one another during the most troubling times and the impact will be immeasurable.
