Local MP Kemi Badenoch officially opened Stansted’s new dispensing chemist, Peacock Pharmacy.
Mrs Badenoch joined Stansted Surgery, residents, and local councillors at the event, with special guest Percy the peacock from neighbouring Mountfitchet Castle who the new surgery is named after.
Commenting, Mrs Badenoch stated:
“It was an honour to cut the ribbon at the official opening of the new Peacock Pharmacy in Stansted.
“Local residents, the parish council, councillors, Stansted Surgery and stakeholders have worked hard to make this possible and I know the new pharmacy will be welcomed by the community.”
Teresa Buglass, Stansted Surgery practice manager, thanked all those who attended the party, including Percy: “Thank you, Sir Percy, for coming to see us… to make sure everything was running smoothly!”
