Last week I met with the Country Land & Business Association to talk about what more can be done to improve mobile connectivity across the constituency - not just in towns like Saffron Walden and Dunmow, but in small villages like Duddenhoe End and the Eastons. Operators are providing a substandard service to rural areas, and have no clear plans on how they will increase 4G coverage. This isn't good enough. The local economy is being held back by a lack of broadband and mobile connectivity, and rural businesses are being deprived of the opportunity to grow. I will be working with the CLA on their campaign to make 4G truly universal, and bring the digital infrastructure of this constituency into the 21st century.
