I recently visited Burton's Butchers in Saffron Walden to present Managing Director Andrew Burton with the SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval) award given to the company. In a post-Brexit world we will need to ensure that our food production is of the highest quality, and that we do not have a race to the bottom on food quality as we look to trade globally. I was really pleased to see Burtons recognised by SALSA for the very high standards they now meet.
