Last Thursday I visited Great Chesterford to meet the Girl Guides and attend the Parish Council's AGM.
The Guides have been working towards their suffragette badge over the last few months, and I had the pleasure of presenting them with those badges and telling them what it's like to be a female MP. If you're interested in joining as a Guide, or volunteering time as an instructor, please email: [email protected]
The AGM was an opportunity to hear the views of Chesterford residents. In over 90 minutes we didn't get off the topic of housing. As you all know I have no say over planning matters as an MP, but I do understand the deeply felt concerns, particularly about infrastructure. I will be in regular contact with Chesterford Parish Council, and other areas that may be affected by new housing, to ensure your voices are heard in any upcoming housing and planning legislation.
