I met Felsted Parish Council at the United Reformed Church Hall about the Local Plan, Stansted Airport and policing in the area. Many of you will by now be aware that Uttlesford has approved its Local Plan, and that concerns have been raised by the Planning Inspector about the West of Braintree site. Just as with Stansted Airport's application for increased passenger numbers, I am speaking with local councillors to investigate how better infrastructure can be provided for communities. It was also remarkable to hear about just how many people have a passion for policing and volunteer as special constables. This is a great service and we need to make sure that those who take on this duty are deployed in the rural communities they have local knowledge of. Thanks to Graham Harvey; Andy Bennett; Richard Freeman; Frances Marshall; Peter Watson; and Chris & Stephanie Woodhouse!
